4. New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are officially in the post-Tom Brady era. Bill Belichick is still on the sidelines and that means that the team will do whatever it takes to win. Heading into the 2020 season, the Patriots will be one of two teams in line to win the AFC East along with the Buffalo Bills.

New England has an elite defense led by the Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore. Once Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this left the Patriots in a bad position under center.

They were ready to have a competition in training camp between Jarrett Stidham and Brian Homer. They ended up signing Cam Newton to a one-year deal at an absolute bargain price. If Newton has a strong year, he could be the quarterback beyond 2020, but that could all change if Prescott hits the market.

The Patriots just want to win. They know that the division is not tough and they always have massive expectations. Even with Brady off the team, New England would like to continue their dynasty. Dak Prescott could fit right in and give them another long term option under center.
