The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have the first shot at re-signing Chris Godwin in 2021. In 2019, Godwin made his claim as one of the best in the NFL with 86 receptions for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns.

What was also astounding was his 15.5 yards per reception. If he can mesh well with Tom Brady and now Rob Gronkowski, Godwin could be the top receiver in his free agency class. He has the speed and leaping ability to go over the top of defenders or blow right past them.

The Bucs will still have the services of Mike Evans, but their QB situation will be different. By the time 2021 rolls around, there’s a great chance that Brady will be gone. Will Godwin want to stick around? Better yet, will the Bucs be willing to shell out top dollar for two receivers?
