NFL Free Agency: 5 way-too-early landing spots for Chris Godwin

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles will be in the market for receivers in 2021 as DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffrey may both be gone. While both are signed through 2022, the Eagles may look to get younger at the position.

Carson Wentz has proven that he’s capable of being a leader and injuries aside, his numbers have shown he’s worth the attention. However, his receiving core is not young and it’s time Howie Roseman starts looking towards the future. Adding Chris Godwin would be a great addition.

The Eagles’ offense finished the 2019 season ranked eighth in passing attempts and 11th in passing yards. And that was done with no receiver going over 500 yards. Godwin would give the Eagles a triple threat for the foreseeable future with Wentz and running back Miles Sanders.
