Things can change very quickly in the NFL, and Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is finding that out the hard way.
Love got off to a relatively strong start in 2023, leading the Packers to a 2-1 record and orchestrating a thrilling come-from-behind victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.
During that time, Love flashed considerable arm talent, throwing seven touchdowns and just one interception. While he definitely wasn’t making people forget about Aaron Rodgers, he was at least making Green Bay fans feel comfortable with him as the long-term starter early on.
But then, Weeks 4 and 5 happened. Over the last two games, Love has logged just one touchdown while tossing up five picks in a pair of Packers losses, and as a result, some people already think he is on the hot seat.

Hall of Fame cornerback Ronde Barber does not like what he is seeing from Love in the early going, saying that he looks pretty skittish in the pocket.
“If you’re a defender, all you know is that you’re going to get opportunities to touch the football against him because he is so indecisive,” Barber said, via The 33rd Team.
To Barber’s point, Love threw three interceptions in Green Bay’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders this past Monday.
“I think we want to anoint him,” said Barber. “Matt LaFleur has a great system. Obviously, Aaron Rodgers executed it well. You would feel that Jordan Love would be in a position after watching that to take these next steps, but the truth to the matter is he’s very inaccurate and he holds onto the ball for a very, very long time.”

Love completed just 55.6 percent of his throws this season and went 16-for-30 against the Raiders.
Barber did add that Love’s inexperience is undoubtedly playing a factor in his early struggles, but he didn’t seem too confident in the 24-year-old’s ability.
