NFL: How will each running back in the AFC South fare in 2020?

Tennessee Titans

Let’s start things off in Tennessee where Derrick Henry just signed a contract fit for a King. That’s fitting because last season Henry did take home the crown for rushing leader last season.

In fact, if not for Aaron Jones tying him in rushing touchdowns Henry would have won the running back equivalent to a triple crown (rush attempts, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns). The question is now that Henry has been paid, will he be able to repeat this productivity?

The short answer is yes. The long answer is that Henry is just too big, too powerful, and just too skilled to be stopped. While the amount of carries are a bit worrisome, he only finished with two carries more than Ezekiel Elliot. Henry was also in a committee backfield up until last season.

Henry is 6’3 and nearly 240 lbs, I’m not afraid of his workload. Derrick is a monster, which is why he landed as the No. 10 best player in the NFL’s top 100 list. Check out what other NFL players thought of the Titans star back below,

The Titans rode Derrick Henry into the playoffs last season. While teams are expecting them to do the same this year, it’s doubtful they can do anything about it. Look for Henry to have another monster season with 1,450 rushing yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, and around 300 carries.
