New Orleans Saints – Cornerback Depth

Last season, the New Orleans Saints’ biggest issue was a lack of execution when results mattered most, not necessarily any specific glaring hole. They did an effective job of making helpful additions to their team to address the less than stellar areas from their 2019 roster.

With the additions of Malcolm Jenkins, Emmanuel Sanders, and Jameis Winston in free agency, and the draft selections of Cesar Ruiz and Zach Baun, New Orleans has very little weaknesses left with a fully healthy roster.

The Saints have had issues in the past with injuries to their cornerback position, and it has caused problems. If there is an injury to superstar cornerback Marshon Lattimore, there is not anyone on the roster that can make up for his absence.

Outside of injuries, the only other potential issue with the cornerback position is with their second starting cornerback Janoris Jenkins. While he played well last year with the Saints, it remains to be seen if that will translate to sustained results over the course of the 2020 season.
