Daniel Jones, New York Giants
When the Giants decided to take Duke standout Daniel Jones with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, fans and the media went off on them. Many though they should take Dwayne Haskins, who ended up being drafted by the division rival Washington Redskins.
Following his rookie season, those critics have gone radio silent. While Jones did have an issue with turnovers (13 interceptions and 18 fumbles, 11 lost), he still showed flashes of stardom. Heading into year two, the expectations should be high.
Jones took over the starting job from Eli Manning in his rookie year. Manning has since retired and the Giants are entering a new era of football in 2020 with Jones as their long-term franchise quarterback. It’s going to be a fun year to watch him in New York.
Let’s take a look at some predictions for Jones this season.
