The NFC South appears to be set for a truly competitive 2020 NFL season with the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers each making intriguing additions to their respective rosters.
In terms of grabbing the most headlines, the Buccaneers clearly set the tone beginning with the signing of Tom Brady. It’s no light feat to add such an accomplished talent, even if he’s near the end of his NFL career.
The Buccaneers did let Jameis Winston walk in free agency in order to sign Brady. The reigning NFL leader in passing yards stayed in the NFC South to fill the backup role for the Saints for 2020 with the possibility for more in the future.
The Panthers were another team that made noteworthy changes at the quarterback position this offseason. Beginning with the choice to move on from Cam Newton, Carolina followed it up by signing Teddy Bridgewater in free agency.
It will be business as usual at the starting quarterback spot for both the Falcons and Saints with Matt Ryan and Drew Brees still in the fold. Of course, the 2020 campaign could be the final year of Brees’ NFL career, but it’s at least status quo for another season.
Taking all of that into consideration, let’s take a look into some predictions for the quarterbacks in the NFC South in 2020.
