NFL: Ranking the wide receiver rooms in the NFC East entering 2020

Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

4. Washington Football Team

Notable WRs: Terry McLaurin, Steven Sims, Antonio Gandy-Golden, Trey Quinn, Dontrelle Inman

Early in the 2019 season, Terry McLaurin quickly asserted himself as the No. 1 wide receiver for Washington. Furthermore, he would produce one of the best seasons from a rookie wide receiver a season ago. Despite the inconsistent play at quarterback last season, McLaurin finished with 58 receptions for 919 yards and seven touchdowns. He also had a 68.4 contested-catch rate (best in the NFL).

While Washington is confident in Dwayne Haskins at quarterback, there inconsistencies around McLaurin at wide receiver. Following the season-ending injury of Kelvin Harmon, Washington now has a receiving corps that features Steven Sims, rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden, Trey Quinn, and Dontrelle Inman.

Even though Inman just joined the team, he could find himself having a role in the offense due to the lack of experience at the position. Regardless of who slots in alongside McLaurin, Washington definitely has the weakest receiving corps in the NFC East entering the 2020 season.
