NFL Scout Makes Bold Prediction For Packers In Week 9

The Green Bay Packers have been struggling to find a rhythm offensively for over a month. They haven’t scored more than 20 points since Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons and have lost four out of their last five games.

Heading into a Week 9 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay could be catching a break. Rams’ starting quarterback Matthew Stafford is dealing with a thumb injury and even if he is cleared to play, he won’t be close to 100 percent healthy.

That is good news for a defense that will be working out some new lineups with veteran cornerback Rasul Douglas being traded to the Buffalo Bills ahead of the trade deadline earlier this week. But, it doesn’t matter how well the defense plays if the offense cannot score points.

Los Angeles’s defense has not been great this season, as they are 21st in points allowed and 17th in yardage. Can Jordan Love and the Packers’ offense take advantage of a solid matchup? One NFL scout who spoke to NFL Analysis Network certainly thinks so. They have a bold prediction for the game and are expecting a big performance out of Love.

“This will be the week the Packers’ offense finally breaks out. I’m predicting a 30-point performance and that Jordan Love plays the best game of his NFL career to date. The talent is there, and they’ll put it all together against the Rams.”

Love has struggled mightily in recent weeks after a hot start to the season. He has thrown at least one interception in five straight games and has struggled with his accuracy, especially targeting players down the field.

A lot of his issues stem from teams bringing the blitz and getting pressure in the backfield. Luckily for the Packers, the Rams haven’t been able to generate pressure consistently, as they rank near the bottom of the NFL with 15 sacks on the season.

As long as the offensive line can keep Love standing upright in the pocket, opportunities to produce will present themselves. The Packers desperately need a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive, making this an elimination game of sorts. Whichever falls short will suffer their sixth defeat of the season, likely knocking them out of playoff contention.
