The Denver Broncos fell to 1-5 with their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night, further increasing the likelihood that the club will sell off some pieces ahead of the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline.
One of the team’s prime trade candidates is wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who responded to the trade talk earlier in the week.
“At the end of the day, I am going to do my part and do my job,” Jeudy said, via Jon Heath of Broncos Wire. “I don’t think about all that. I just think about I’ll just be where my feet are, you feel me? So, I can’t think about the future. I can’t think about the past. It’s out of my control. I’m just taking it day by day.”
Jeudy logged three catches for 14 yards in the Broncos’ Week 6 loss. On the season overall, he has totaled 20 grabs for 222 cards. The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by Denver with the 15th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He enjoyed a solid rookie campaign, catching 52 passes for 856 yards and three touchdowns. However, since then, Jeudy’s production has stagnated.
Injuries limited him to just 10 games during his sophomore season, and he ended up snaring 38 balls for 467 yards. Then, last year, Jeudy had his most productive campaign to date, hauling in 67 receptions for 972 yards and six scores.
While Jeudy is a decent wide out, he has certainly been a disappointment and has not lived up the expectations that were levied upon him when he was initially drafted three-and-a-half years ago.

Jeudy still has another year remaining on his deal after this season, so if a team does trade for him, it would not have to worry about him walking via free agency come springtime.
The Broncos will host the Green Bay Packers next Sunday.
