The Dallas Cowboys took a major hit in their secondary heading into Week 3 of the NFL season, as star cornerback Trevon Diggs went down with a torn ACL in practice.
Since then, the Cowboys have also lost fellow defensive backs C.J. Goodwin, DaRon Bland, and Jourdan Lewis to injuries, so the team may very well need to make a trade between now and the Oct. 31 deadline to address their startling depth issues at the cornerback position.

NFL NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Jaylon Johnson, Chicago Bears & Dallas Cowboys Updates
Being just 24 years old, you wouldn’t think Chicago would have much reason to trade him, but Johnson is slated to hit free agency this offseason, and with the Bears having so many needs up and down the roster, they might have be able to afford to retain Johnson.
It may serve Chicago well to trade Johnson within the next several weeks in order to recoup some value for him before he walks for nothing in the spring.
Johnson has missed the last couple of games with a hamstring injury, but in his three appearances this season, he has logged nine tackles, a forced fumble, and one pass defended.

The University of Utah product was initially selected by the Bears in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft and has been a starter in Chicago’s defensive backfield ever since.
It should be noted that Johnson has yet to play a full season due to injury issues here and there, but when he is on the field, it’s clear that he is a good cornerback.
The Cowboys are 3-2 and will take on the Los Angeles Chargers next Monday.
