New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson has certainly looked better the past couple of weeks of the NFL season, but that doesn’t mean he has looked great.
Most recently, Wilson went 19-for-26 with 199 yards and an interception in the Jets’ 31-21 win over the Denver Broncos last Sunday. Better than many of his previous efforts? Yes. Impressive in any way, shape, or form? Not really.
But this is the standard that Wilson has set for himself since entering the NFL in 2021, and it may be time for New York to part ways with the former No. 2 overall pick finally.
Alex Hoegler of Total Pro Sports absolutely thinks that it is time for the Jets to move on and sees the Los Angeles Rams as a potential fit for Wilson.

The Rams currently have Matthew Stafford under center, but the veteran signal-caller was ravaged by injuries last season and has not been great in 2023, throwing five touchdowns and five picks through his team’s first five games.
Stafford is 35 years old, so you have to wonder how much longer he will be a starting-caliber quarterback. The fact that he has not looked remotely close to the star he was during Los Angeles’ Super Bowl run two years ago is definitely concerning, so the Rams may have to start thinking about the future.
Not that Wilson is someone you would bank on long term, but perhaps a change of scenery would do the BYU product some good.
NFL NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Zach Wilson, New York Jets & Los Angeles Rams Updates
Now in his third season, Wilson has gone 9-17 as a starter and has thrown 19 touchdowns and 23 interceptions while completing 56.3 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 71.4 in 27 appearances overall.
Of course, Wilson was not supposed to be the Jets’ starter this season but was pressed into action after Aaron Rodgers went down with a torn Achilles on the first offensive series of the campaign.
