NFL: Which free-agent QB is set up for the most success in 2020?

What a surprise that the greatest quarterback of all time would top this list. If you’re someone that was hoping to see someone else here, then sorry for the disappointment that was caused. But all things considered, there’s not another free-agent quarterback that has the amount of weapons that Brady will have at his disposal in Tampa Bay.

As Brady gets a chance to play under Bruce Arians, some people have started a false narrative about Brady. There seems to be a popular sentiment that the soon-to-be 43-year-old can no longer be efficient as a deep passer. However, his numbers in 2019 debunk those sentiments. Despite New England’s shortcomings as an offense, Brady did perform well when pushing the ball down the field.

The six-time Super Bowl champion would attempt 60 passes of 20+ yards a season ago. He would complete 41.7 percent of those passes, which was good enough for ninth-best in the NFL in deep completion percentage. Provided that, Brady should have loads of success throwing to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Meanwhile, he’ll also have a chance to get the ball to Rob Gronkowski, Cameron Brate, O.J. Howard, and Ronald Jones. Jones averaged 9.4 yards per reception after the catch, giving him a chance to excel alongside Brady. Lastly, Tampa Bay’s offensive line seems to be improved with the selection of Tristan Wirfs in the 2020 NFL Draft. While the Buccaneers suddenly have Super Bowl aspirations, it’s hard to imagine Brady not helping them come close to or even achieve their ultimate goal in 2020.
