Who Will Have The Better 2020 Season?
The biggest concern with Cooper at this point should be whether or not he can continue his impressive production with so many mouths to feed in the Dallas offense– but there should be plenty of reason to believe that he can.
With the level of receiving talent increasing so dramatically in the Cowboys’ offense with the addition of CeeDee Lamb, so too should the team’s passing volume. Despite finishing first in passing yards as a team last year, the Cowboys’ only had the tenth most passing attempts in the NFL. That number is bound to grow, which in theory, should keep Cooper’s targets consistent.
And now with Lamb and Michael Gallup continuing to develop into a nice player, Cooper should also have the advantage of less defensive pressure on him– letting him use his skills as a route runner to get open reliably.
For the focus on the passing game that the Cowboys are sure to head into the season with, the stage is set for Amari Cooper to have the better year than Davante Adams.
