Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are a defense that’s in desperate need of help.
- They ranked second to last in getting at the quarterback.
- They were the fifth-worst against the pass.
- And rank third-worst in points against.
Fortunately, the team has made progress on the defensive line. They signed Jabaal Sheard during free agency, and guys like John Simon and Hassan Ridgeway are making significant progress. Not to mention with a healthy Malik Hooker in the defensive backfield and improvement to the secondary will mean more sack opportunities for the rest of the team.
Bringing in someone like Mack would improve this even further.
The Colts have enough to offer both the defensive end and the Raiders. They’re second in the league in cap space and can still have enough in 2019 after giving Mack his extension. As for Oakland’s side, they can receive a considerable number of draft picks that are projected for the early rounds.
Trade Scenario: 2019 first-round pick, 2019 second-round pick (via Jets), and 2020 fourth-round pick for Khalil Mack
