3. Kirksey Is Capable Of Dropping Into Coverage

Green Bay has had quite a few issues with linebackers having to drop into coverage. Whether they are covering tight ends or running backs, things simply haven’t gone well when they have tried to do that.

Thankfully, that is one area that Kirksey is very capable of making an impact. In 2018, Kirksey played in just seven games, but he racked up two interceptions and five defended passes. He is capable of covering tight ends and running backs.

Mike Pettine needs an inside linebacker who can play a versatile role. Martinez was unable to do that, but Kirksey brings that as a strength.
