Round 2, Pick 62: J.K. Dobbins, Running Back, Ohio State
Many fans aren’t going to like this projection, while some will see why it makes perfect sense. J.K. Dobbins will slide in the second round and the Packers will pick him up to add even more playmaking to an offense that desperately needed it last season.
Matt LaFleur was very open about wanting a third running back on the roster that could handle a role. Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams are both going to be free agents after the 2020 season. The Packers find a guy who could become a starter in the future or form a one-two punch with either Jones or Williams moving forward into 2021.
Dobbins racked up 2,003 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on 301 carries last season for the Buckeyes. He also caught 23 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns.
Green Bay loves dual-threat running backs and this fit would make a lot of sense. It isn’t a major need, but the Packers are going to go best player available with this pick and Dobbins will be that guy.
