Devin Funchess, Wide Receiver

Another intriguing player to keep an eye on this offseason is wide receiver Devin Funchess. While the Packers didn’t draft a wide receiver or sign one of the elite wideouts in free agency, Funchess was a player that they liked and were able to bring in.

Rodgers seemed excited with the move to bring in Funchess and why shouldn’t he be? Standing in at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, Funchess brings top-notch size and athleticism to the field. He isn’t the fastest receiver in the world, but he has solid speed.

Funchess missed most of last season due to a broken collarbone, but caught three passes for 32 yards in his one appearance with the Indianapolis Colts.

The Packers obviously feel very strongly about what Funchess can bring to the field. If he plays up to his potential, the Packers may have gotten a major steal with this signing.
