Learn When To Challenge And When To Let It Go

First of all, let’s make it clear that this isn’t a huge knock on Matt LaFleur. Quite a few coaches need to learn when to challenge plays. However, LaFleur threw the red flag on quite a few calls that he though were or were not pass interference.

Even though the NFL has allowed coaches to challenge pass interference calls, they are not overturning many. LaFleur needs to use better judgment on when to throw the challenge flag.

With a quarterback like Rodgers, timeouts come into play a lot more than one might think. He has the ability to move the ball down the field and score with just 30 seconds on the clock. Keeping those timeouts instead of using them with a wasted challenge can be important.
