The Green Bay Packers picked up a massive victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 13. The win was their third in a row and improved their record to 6-6 on the season. In the process, they saw their odds of making the postseason rise exponentially as Green Bay moved into the No. 7 seed in the NFC.

When taking a look ahead at their schedule, there is certainly a chance the Packers can run the table, keeping a little game pressure on the Detroit Lions in the NFC North race while solidifying their Wild Card standing. The Chiefs on Sunday night were the last opponent with a record above the .500 mark currently.

The team has three road games against the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings. They will be at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears in their final five games of the season.

Those games certainly won’t be cakewalks as all of their opponents will still be playing for something at the time they take the field. However, in the opinion of Packers’ quarterback Jordan Love, this past weekend against the Chiefs was the one he was most focused on.

After the game, he revealed that this matchup was the one he had circled on his calendar for a long time. Matt Schneidman of The Athletic provided the update from Love’s post-game press conference.

This was a revenge game for Love. When he made his first and only career start of his career before this week, it came against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in place of Aaron Rodgers, who was in the league’s health and safety protocols. Love struggled in that matchup in 2021 as a rookie, completing 19-of-34 passes for 190 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He added five rushes for 23 yards as well.

On Sunday night, Love put forth a truly dominant performance. He outplayed the reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes, completing 25-of-36 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns without a turnover in the 27-19 victory.

That is quite a bounce-back performance for Love, who made NFL history during his last three games played, punctuated by the win over Kansas City. With Love playing at such a high level and oozing with confidence, the Packers will continue making some noise down the stretch of the season.
