The fact that Griffen played for the Minnesota Vikings for nearly a decade should leave him with a strong understanding of how to succeed going up against them. There’s real value in that since Minnesota projects as being the Packers’ top competitor in the NFC North in 2020.

Griffen not only obviously is familiar with the Vikings, but he has also experienced plenty of success going up against the likes of the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions throughout his career.

The strange circumstances surrounding this offseason should prompt teams to value placing greater importance on signing helpful veteran contributors.

Adding a proven veteran that already has been going up against the NFC North for years is an ideal match.
