Release the Football Quickly

Cam Newton has an opportunity to make his first start with his new team a glorious one, and the way he can do that is by focusing on fundamentals.

Newton needs to place importance on getting the football out of his hands and into the hands of playmakers quickly. With the Patriots, he will be in a situation where he’s able to do precisely that.

Newton also needs to ensure that he is avoiding taking unnecessary hits from the Dolphins’ defense. If he can do that, expect him to produce substantial passing figures in his Week 1 performance against Miami.

Newton won’t need to rely on the strength of his arm or the speed of his legs and will force the Dolphins to play excellent defense against a quick passing attack. Miami will likely not be ready to handle it as they are still in the rebuilding process.
