The Patriots know that a better game will be needed to knock off the Seahawks. Russell Wilson and company looked very sharp in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. New England’s defense needs to step up and the offense has to perform much better as well.

Bill Belichick always seems to get his teams ready to play against tough competition. That should be the case once again this week.

Here are three bold predictions for the Patriots this week.

4. Stephon Gilmore Picks Off Russell Wilson Twice

Wilson is one of the most consistently dominant quarterbacks in the NFL, but the Patriots will slow him down this week. Stephon Gilmore started the 2020 season the way he left off in 2019 with an interception. In Week 2, Gilmore will pick Wilson off twice.

3. Sony Michel Gets Going

In Week 1, the Patriots saw Sony Michel carry the ball 10 times for 37 yards and a touchdown. This week, they will try to establish the ground game a bit more. Michel won’t hit 100 yards, but he will rush for 75 yards and another touchdown which will take a lot of pressure off of Newton.

2. Cam Newton’s Arm Gets Going In A Big Way

While fans didn’t get to see a lot of Newton’s arm last week against the Dolphins, Josh McDaniels will make sure that changes against Seattle. Newton will throw the ball 35 times this week and will rack up 275 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions.

1. New England Pulls Off A Massive Statement Victory

Finally, and most importantly, the Patriots will move to 2-0 on the young season. New England may not have Brady, but they don’t care. Newton and company will make a major statement with a win over a very talented Seahawks’ team.

We are predicting that the final score of this game will end up being 28-24 in favor of the Patriots.
