2. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals had the best rookie on offense last year with their new franchise quarterback Kyler Murray. Murray was incredible last year, especially at throwing the deep ball. The Arizona front office went out and managed a shocking trade getting rid of David Johnson and his massive contract and bringing in DeAndre Hopkins.

The addition of Hopkins and some improvements on the offensive line should take this unit to new heights in 2020. Add in the hope that Murray can make a second-year jump and become even better, and this offense will surprise a lot of teams by how competitive they become.

On the defensive side of the ball the talented playmakers of Patrick Peterson and Chandler Jones add the talented rookie linebacker Isaiah Simmons out of Clemson. Simmons was considered the best linebacker in the draft and many were surprised he fell to the Cardinals at eight. He will add to a talented group that should be just good enough to let their offense win games.

The name of the game for Arizona this year is development. Kyler Murray needs to improve in his second year and Kliff Kingsbury will need to take that next step in his second year as a head coach in the NFL. If both can improve and build on last season the Cardinals could sneak into a wildcard spot.
