The Las Vegas Raiders’ 2024 offseason has been marked by early drama, particularly surrounding the selection of a new head coach. Superstar Maxx Crosby added fuel to the fire by suggesting he might seek a trade if Antonio Pierce wasn’t rehired.

Crosby’s stance created tension and effectively issued an ultimatum to the Raiders’ management.

Ultimately, the Raiders opted to bring Pierce back on board, fulfilling Crosby’s condition. Despite the initial uncertainty, Crosby’s loyalty to the Raiders appears unwavering, evident in his permanent display of the team’s shield tattooed on his body.

After the team decided to bring Pierce back, Crosby has now spoken out about why he took such a strong stance on the situation.

“A Raider is saying what needs to be said when not everyone agrees…Al Davis stood up for what is right, even though it’s not the most popular thing to do.”

Obviously, Maxx Crosby and the players in Las Vegas want to win. Pierce helped instill that confidence of winning back into what had been a dead football team.

Those are qualities that players love about a coach. Clearly, Pierce earned the respect and love of his players very quickly after taking over as the interim head coach.

With Pierce back at the helm, concerns about Crosby’s potential trade request have been put to rest, solidifying his status as a Raider for life.
