Dwayne Haskins throws fewer than 10 interceptions
It’s safe to say that Haskins was thrown into a less-than-ideal situation in his rookie season with the Redskins. The former Buckeye would be beat out by veteran Case Keenum for the starting job in training camp. But after sitting for eight weeks, Haskins would get to make his first career start against a stingy Buffalo Bills defense in Week 9.
In his first four starts, Haskins would struggle, throwing for only two touchdowns and two interceptions. He would also complete just 54 percent of his attempts for 661 yards. Despite his early struggles, Haskins showed signs of improvement in the final three weeks of the season. The first-year quarterback would toss five touchdowns and one interception in his final three starts in 2019.
Altogether, Haskins would finish with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions in just seven starts. Interceptions hadn’t been an issue for Haskins in his lone season as the starter at Ohio State. The strong-armed quarterback had just eight interceptions throughout his lone season as the starter in 2018. Taking that into consideration, Haskins will show positive development in 2020, throwing fewer than 10 interceptions during the season.
