DK Metcalf was one of the most talked about players in the 2019 NFL Draft class. After putting on a show during the combine and with the impressive physical ability that was on full display, Metcalf was projected to be a top-15 draft pick. When everything was said and done, Metcalf dropped in the draft and was scooped up by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round.
Obviously, slipping in the draft was a huge disappointment for the former Ole Miss standout. However, he used it as motivation and put together an impressive rookie season in Seattle.
During the 2019 season with the Seahawks, Metcalf ended up catching 58 passes for 900 yards and seven touchdowns. He also put together a big two-game run in the playoffs with 11 receptions for 219 yards and a touchdown.
Standing in at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds with elite speed, Metcalf is a matchup nightmare for every team in the league. He still has a lot of work to do on his route running, but his work ethic is unquestionable.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at two massive bold predictions for DK Metcalf in his second season with the Seahawks.
