5. Jamal Adams Wins Defensive Player of the Year
The Seahawks have two legitimate Defensive Player of the Year candidates in Adams and Bobby Wagner. Outside of Von Miller, Wagner is the most accomplished active defensive player without a Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) award.
Wagner won’t win one in 2020. Instead, Adams continues his rise to prominence by claiming the prestigious accolade.
While Adams won’t play the same role he did in New York with Seattle, the LSU product will still put up incredible numbers. Over the past two seasons, Adams has two interceptions, 19 passes defensed, five forced fumbles, ten sacks, 190 tackles, and two defensive touchdowns over the last two years.
Adams joins an up-and-coming secondary in Seattle. The unit already features Pro Bowl cornerback Shaquill Griffin, Quandre Diggs, Quinton Dunbar, and Tre Flowers. With so many talented players around him, Adams should flourish with the Seahawks.
