The Houston Texans acquired Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills in a stunning trade on Wednesday, and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, the brother of Stefon, reacted on social media afterward.

The Texans are scheduled to play the Cowboys next season, so Trevon will be lining up against his older brother in 2024. Should make for an interesting battle, to say the least.

Stefon spent the last four years of his career with the Bills, but it seemed pretty clear this past season that things were not right.

Diggs hauled in 107 receptions for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns en route to his fourth straight Pro Bowl appearance, which looks great on the surface.

However, a deeper look into Diggs’ numbers shows that something went wrong in the second half.

The 30-year-old logged five 100-yard outings over his first six games but then did not register a single 100-yard performance the entire rest of the season.

Diggs insisted he was not injured, and Bills head coach Sean McDermott also said he was not aware of any physical issues with Diggs.

Could it merely have been a disconnect between Diggs and quarterback Josh Allen?

Whatever the case may be, Diggs will now be taking his talents to Houston, where he will be catching passes from scintillating young signal-caller C.J. Stroud.

Diggs will join a now loaded receiving corps that also includes Nico Collins and Tank Dell.

The University of Maryland product enjoyed his best season back in 2020, when he led the NFL in both receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535) to go along with eight scores.

Diggs spent the first five years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings before being dealt to Buffalo in March 2020.

The Bills received a 2025 second-round draft pick from the Vikings in exchange for Diggs. Buffalo also sent a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 fifth-rounder Minnesota’s way.
