There will be a lot of attention given to free agent Rob Gronkowski this offseason. The all-world tight end came out of retirement two years ago to join Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is once again contemplating if he wants to continue his career. One team to watch could be the Tennessee Titans.

He has caught passes almost exclusively from Brady throughout his career, starting from their time together with the New England Patriots. Is Gronkowski willing to play without Brady this season, but possibly be on the move again?

It is easy to presume that Tampa Bay has the best chance of convincing Gronkowski to continue his career post-Brady. He fits well in their system and showed that he still has some juice left in the tank. But, is the team as appealing without Brady being there?

Given the state of the NFC South, the Buccaneers can very well be considered favorites again in 2022, but without Brady, they may not be in the upper echelon of the conference anymore. If Gronkowski is looking to land with a team that could have a better chance to win games, he could look elsewhere around the league.

One possible landing spot from that perspective would be the Tennessee Titans. Over at CBS Sports, they believe that is ultimately where Gronkowski will end up, signing a one-year deal worth $8 million.

This would be a great deal for both parties. The Titans had an underwhelming tight end group last season with Anthony Firsker, MyCole Pruitt and Geoff Swaim replacing Jonnu Smith atop the depth chart. They combined to finish the season as the 24th ranked tight end group in the NFL based on PFF grades.

All three happen to be free agents this season as well, so Gronkowski would be filling a major hole and providing the team with a sizable upgrade. The starting position is open, which should appeal to Gronkowski, but he is also joining a winning team.

Tennessee was the No. 1 seed in the AFC last season and would have one of the most explosive offensive groups with Gronkowski joining Derrick A.J. Brown, Julio Jones and Derrick Henry.
