2. 20
Counting playoffs, Cook had at least 20 touches in 11 of 16 games he played last year. The Vikings’ record in those games? 8-3, and two of the three losses (to the Packers and the Chiefs, by the way) were by five points or less.
In games Cook didn’t get 20 touches or didn’t play, the Vikings were 3-4. One was a blowout Week 15 win over the Chargers, when he injured his shoulder. Three of the four losses were Week 16 and Week 17 when he was out, then the one-sided playoff loss to the 49ers.
As Cook goes, so goes the Vikings offense and their ideal formula to win games. Getting him to 20 touches in a game should be a priority. Call it the “Dalvin Ratio”.
