Vikings: 3 numbers for Dalvin Cook to target in 2020

3. 75 Targets

Last year, with two missed games and being limited in a couple others, Cook had 63 targets. In nine of the 16 games he played (including playoffs), he had at least five targets. Account for being a less than full strength in a few games, and I can easily push it to 12 of 16 games with at least five targets.

With Stefon Diggs gone to the Buffalo Bills in a trade, the Vikings have unproven options at wide receiver behind Adam Thielen (Justin Jefferson, Bisi Johnson). Based on a lot of metrics there’s a strong argument for Cook to be featured more as a receiver. The door is wide open for it to happen this year, and 75 targets might be a low bar.
