1. Progression
Kirk Cousins has been getting better and better every year. Progression is the main reason why he could take his game to an MVP level in 2020. In three years as the starter in Washington, Cousins threw for at least 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns.
When he came to Minnesota, Cousins kept the strong play going. Missing the playoffs in 2018 distracted from the fact that Cousins put up the best numbers of his career. Cousins finished with 4,298 yards with 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
In 2019, Cousins threw for 3,603 yards and 26 touchdowns. He significantly cut down on the turnovers last season, which was progression in his contributions as a player.
The improvement in all ways have been visible. Cousins has been more aware in the pocket and his decision making is excellent. If he continues to grow and progress, Cousins can take his game to that highest level.
