2. Philip Rivers Needs More Weapons

Next up, the Colts went out and signed Philip Rivers to a one-year, $25 million contract in free agency. That kind of money isn’t easy to part with, but Indianapolis knew that they needed an upgrade at quarterback to make a playoff push.

Why would they acquire a quarterback like Rivers for the price they paid without being willing to aggressively pursue the best weapons possible for him?

Odell Beckham Jr. would give the Colts the true No. 1 star that they need. Rivers would have a one-two punch better than he has ever had in Beckham and Hilton. The offense would be nearly impossible for opposing defenses to stop.
