1. Jalen Hurts Could End Up Being The Steal Of The Draft

With the current expectation that Jalen Hurts will be drafted in the second or third round of the NFL Draft, the Steelers could be getting the steal of the draft if they take him. He wouldn’t play in 2020 more than likely, but getting a long-term franchise quarterback outside of the first round would be a major win.

Taking a talent like Hurts in the second or third round is an extremely low cost. If he doesn’t become a franchise quarterback, it is much easier to swallow the disappointment if a first-round pick isn’t used on him.

Mike Tomlin and company need a better quarterback option behind Roethlisberger. They can’t afford to stick with Rudolph and Hodges and hope that they improve. It’s time to turn to a massive talent like Hurts and develop him to become the starter in the future.
