3. The NFL Is Heading Towards The Dual-Threat QB
While there are still plenty of pocket passers that are playing at a high level, quite a few teams would like to find a quarterback who can make plays in the pocket, but also get outside the pocket and make plays with his arm and legs on the run.
Jalen Hurts is the definition of a dual-threat quarterback and would give the Steelers a lot more options. His ability to make plays with his legs reminds a lot of fans and media members of Baltimore Ravens superstar Lamar Jackson.
If the Steelers want to have a long-term quarterback in place, taking Hurts and developing him behind Roethlisberger would be a smart move. Pittsburgh’s offense would be reinvented with Hurts on board and could join the NFL’s most elite.
