3. C.J. Henderson, Cornerback, Florida
There is no question that cornerback is a position that the 49ers should focus on improving. Richard Sherman may still be a legitimate No. 1 corner, but he only has another year or two of playing at that level. He has already shown some small signs of aging.
If the 49ers were to take a cornerback with the No. 13 overall pick, there is only one player that would fit. C.J. Henderson has had an impressive draft process and is the best cornerback available outside of Ohio State standout Jeff Okudah.
Last season with the Gators, Henderson racked up 33 total tackles to go along with one sack and 11 defended passes. He didn’t have an interception, but had six in the previous two seasons combined. Henderson has playmaking ability and would be a decent addition with this pick.
