4 defensive tackles listed as targets for the Dallas Cowboys

Damon Harrison, Detroit Lions

Another interior defensive lineman on the market that thrives as a run-stopper is Damon Harrison. The Cowboys have actually been previously linked to Harrison in rumors prior to this latest report being put out by NFL Network’s Jane Slater.

Last season, Harrison made 15 starts for the Detroit Lions and racked up 49 tackles, two sacks, and three passes defensed. His impact was felt in the interior defensive line and while he primarily is a run-stopper, he has shown ability to create some pressure for quarterbacks at times.

It’s difficult to declare Harrison as a long-term option for the Cowboys given he is already going to be 32-years-old next season. However, going with a one-year deal to maintain salary cap flexibility while allowing him to prove himself would be advantageous for both sides.
