Las Vegas Raider Guard, Denzelle Good
Offensive line may be the biggest area of need for the Jets this offseason. According to Pro Football Focus, the Jets didn’t have one offensive lineman rank in the top 30 at their respective positions. Injuries led to a revolving door along the line, with 11 different offensive lineman playing at least 75 snaps last season.
They were the worst run blocking team in the league, leading to a lack luster debut of star running back Le’Veon Bell. They allowed just 0.7 yards before contact on running plays, the worst mark in the NFL.
There’s no doubt the Jets will bring in multiple players to help their offensive line woes. One player who could be a potential trade candidate, is Las Vegas Raider guard Denzelle Good.
Good didn’t start last season, but he played a total of 338 snaps at guard and was given an overall grade of 65.1 by PFF. That’s a better grade than any Jets guard received last season.
Good is also entering the final year of his contract, so the Raiders could certainly move him to free up some cap space and acquire assets. And at 28-years-old, the Jets could potentially re-sign Good if he comes in and plays well
