2 players the Seattle Seahawks must sign in free agency

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Aqib Talib, Cornerback

One of the main weaknesses during the 2019 season for the Seahawks was at cornerback. If they want to take the next step defensively, they need to bring in a cornerback who can step in immediately and make some plays.

Aqib Talib may not be the superstar cornerback that he once was during his days with the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos. However, he is 34 years old with excellent experience and a chip on his shoulder to have another great couple of seasons. Seattle should be more than willing to give him a chance.

More than likely, the Seahawks could snag Talib for a relatively cheap contract. He wouldn’t be asked to come in as a No. 1 lockdown cornerback, but he would be asked to start and play a major role.
