Malik Hooker
Malik Hooker was an absolute ballhawk during his time at Ohio State, leading to his selection in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, injuries have riddled his promising career.
During his rookie season, he tore his ACL and MCL in his right knee and missed nine games. He missed two games during his sophomore season in Indianapolis and three last season. Indianapolis made the tough call to not pick up Hooker’s fifth-year option, putting him in a contract season.
However, Hooker has shown flashes of a Pro Bowl-caliber safety. He’s had a total of 10 interceptions in his three-year career. He’s a sure-fire tackler and cover safety who could revamp a defense if healthy.
Safety needy teams such as the Cowboys, Jets, and now Ravens could be in play for Hooker next spring.
