3 Bold Predictions For The Bills In Divisional Round vs. Chiefs

There is a new beast of the AFC East and that is the Buffalo Bills. After years of the New England Patriots running things and looking like they could do the same this season, the Bills look like they have finally overcome the little brother syndrome and taken control of the division.

Buffalo destroyed their AFC East rivals in their Wild Card matchup, 47-17. It was the first perfect game we’ve ever seen, as the Bills had seven drives in the game and scored a touchdown on each one.

It was a dismantling rarely seen in the league, especially not against a Bill Belichick-coached team. Riding high after such a win, the Bills will now take their show on the road to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs also had a blowout in their Wild Card game, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 42-21.

This should be an exciting game for fans to take in as there are stars on both sides of the ball for each team. The Bills are playing with a lot of confidence and will be looking to pull off the upset this weekend.

What can we expect from Buffalo? Here are three bold predictions for the Bills in their Divisional Round game against Kansas City.

3. Defense Makes Patrick Mahomes Look Human

The Chiefs looked like they were going to get a game from the Steelers at the start of the game. Pittsburgh’s defense scored a touchdown off of a fumble when the Chiefs ran a Wildcat formation. But, after that, Patrick Mahomes showed just how explosive their offense could be.

Mahomes ended up throwing five touchdowns in less than 12 minutes of game time. Kansas City moved at warp speed as Mahomes found his targets with ease for chunk gains. Against the Bills, he will struggle a little more.

Buffalo will make Mahomes a little more uncomfortable throughout the game and get him off his spots more consistently than Pittsburgh did. It will result in Mahomes looking like a mere mortal at the quarterback position, as he will turn the ball over at least twice.

He will still rack up some yardage, but it won’t come in a barrage as last week. Buffalo will make him work for it.

2. Josh Allen Shows He’s Elite

There have been some whispers about just how good is Josh Allen? He looks like an MVP one week, tearing up a defense with his dual-threat ability. Then, the next week, he is a turnover machine and putting his team in disadvantageous positions.

Against the Patriots, we saw MVP Allen. He threw for 308 yards and five touchdowns, adding 66 yards on the ground. It will be much of the same against the Chiefs, as Allen will be motivated to play well against Mahomes.

In the first meeting between the teams this season, Allen threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns, adding 59 yards and another score on the ground. He will at least match those numbers, cementing himself as one of the best young quarterbacks in the league.

1. Buffalo Circles The Wagons And Pulls Off Upset

The Bills are riding high heading into this week. After slaying the big bad Patriots in the Wild Card round, it is time for them to take down another team in the Chiefs.

Buffalo should have plenty of confidence in this game. They know they can win in Arrowhead, as they defeated the Chiefs there 38-20 in Week 5 this season. They are arguably a better team now than they were then, as they have finally rounded a running game with Devin Singletary taking over as the lead back.

This game will go right down to the wire, but the Bills will find a way to pull at the victory in the end. The offense is humming and the defense is making plays as well. They are ready to take that next step and will advance to the AFC Championship game next week.
