Will Surpass 1,000 Receiving Yards
The expectations will be high for Henry Ruggs III when it comes to the stat sheet, and rightfully so. He was the first wide receiver off the board in a draft class that is considered one of the deepest ever for this position.
The most productive wide receiver from the 2019 NFL Draft ended up being A.J. Brown as a rookie. He totaled 52 receptions and 1,051 receiving yards last season. Aside from Brown, two other rookie receivers that managed to reach at least 900 yards, Terry McClaurin and DK Metcalf.
With defenses having to worry about slowing down Josh Jacobs out of the backfield and Darren Waller at the tight end, there is real big-play potential for Ruggs III deep downfield. He’s also more than capable of making explosive plays in short-yardage routes after the catch, too.
A lofty bar for Ruggs III to work to achieve during his first NFL season would be 1,000 receiving yards. It won’t be easy considering the unique circumstances of this offseason, but he is capable.
