3 potential linebacker options for the New York Giants this offseason

While the New York Giants may be optimistic heading into next season with new head coach Joe Judge, there’s no doubt they’re still in the midst of a rebuild.

There are a handful of areas the Giants could look to improve in this offseason, especially in the defensive side of the ball. They finished with the 25th-ranked defensive unit in terms of yards given up, allowing an average of 377.3 per contest.

Linebacker may have been their biggest area of weakness in 2019. Their highest ranking linebacker according to Pro Football Focus was outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter, coming in as the 39th-best right outside linebacker.

Dave Gettleman and the Giants front office could attempt to solve their linebacker issue through the draft or through free agency. Honestly, they probably should utilize both to try and remedy this.
