With the 2020 NFL season right around the corner, the Indianapolis Colts are preparing for their goal of competing for a Super Bowl appearance. After a 2019 season that saw them miss the playoffs, the Colts made some aggressive moves this offseason. One of them was bringing in former star cornerback Xavier Rhodes.
While he may be a “former star” and not a current star, Rhodes is still a huge addition for the Colts. He struggled the last couple of years with the Minnesota Vikings, but is very confident that he can get things back on track.
During the 2019 season with the Vikings, Rhodes ended up playing in 15 games. He racked up 63 total tackles to go along with one forced fumble and six defended passes. Rhodes didn’t record a single interception.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Rhodes is getting a fresh start at a new chapter. The Colts have been desperately needing help at the cornerback position and Rhodes should come in and compete for their No. 1 job. Rock Ya-Sin is also expected to take a big step forward in his second year.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three numbers the Colts and fans should be expecting from Xavier Rhodes in 2020.
