When Foles was in Kansas City for one year as Alex Smith’s backup, Matt Nagy was the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs. The west coast system that Andy Reid runs in Kansas City is very similar to the one Nagy runs in Chicago.

Foles has seen the most success in his career when playing in a west coast scheme. When he was in Philadelphia, head coach Doug Pederson utilized the RPO game during his magical Super Bowl run. Foles ran this concept to prefection and had one of the best statistical playoff runs in recent memory.

Sure, there are a few differences in Nagy’s west coast scheme compared to Pederson’s or Reid’s, but the basic concepts are still there.
