3 reasons the Patriots should take a risk on Cam Newton

1. Bill Belichick Would Finally Have A Dual-Threat QB

Tom Brady is the great quarterback of all-time, most fans and media members will agree with that statement when everything is said and done. But, he was never mobile and Belichick and Josh McDaniels’ offense could use a dual-threat talent like Cam Newton.

It would be fun to watch New England switch from a pocket passer to a guy who can move around and make plays. Newton would change everything we have come to know about the Patriots.

New England would be taking a risk, there is no question about that. Newton may never return to form and might not be the guy to keep the Patriots in Super Bowl contention. Even with those possible outcomes, Newton could defy his critics and help the Patriots replace Brady and move forward while still competing.
