3 steals the Panthers should target in the fifth round or later in the NFL Draft

Davion Taylor, LB, Colorado

The Panthers have experienced several tough offseason departures, but none stings worse than Luke Kuechly. Kuechly was one of the most talented linebackers in the NFL for the duration of his career and will be hard to replace. Linebacker is one position that is better to take a chance on late, and the Panthers could get great value for the position on Day Three.

Davion Taylor is another player in this draft that is hard to peg down. A fifth-round grade seems too tough at times and at others, it seems generous. If the Panthers were to take a chance on Taylor they could be rewarded heavily.

The former Colorado man has impressive speed, running a 4.49 40-yard dash at the combine. The speed combined with the proper training could stem some of the bleeding that came from Luke Kuechly’s retirement.
