4. The Bears Commit Full-Time To David Montgomery

One of the biggest issues on the offensive side of the football this season was the Bears refusing to commit fully to rookie running back David Montgomery. The team never seemed to truly trust the running game.

Unfortunately, when you have a quarterback like Mitchell Trubisky who struggles with consistency under pressure, the ground game is extremely important. Chicago needed to utilize Montgomery much, much more. They will do so in 2020 and won’t make the same mistake they made this year.

Montgomery is going to get a much heavier workload next season.
